Recording your memoirs in 5 easy steps

Each step in our process is charged separately and agreed in advance with our clients.  So, if you decide that you only want a biographer to record your memoirs on an audio file or whether you want to turn your memoirs into a printed book, you choose when to stop!

PRICING

Step One

Step One

  • 30 minute meeting with Client to agree focus of the project (either face-to-face or via video call)

  • First interview booked with biographer (either face-to-face or via video call)

£150 advance before proceeding to step two

Step Two

Step Two​

  • 6-8 interviews of between 1.5-2hrs each with a biographer either in-person or via video call

  • Audio copy of all sound recordings

 

£400

Step Three

Step Three

  • Document in essay format detailing Client's life experiences. This is based on the interviews with the Client in step two.

  • Max word count 15,000 words (additional words at an extra charge)

  • All editing/proofreading

£550

  • Book design and layout based on document produced in step three to include:

    • Up to 35 scanned photos/images

    • A personalised family tree (showing x3 generations)

  • All editing/proofreading

Should the Client wish, Pages of My Life can then place a print order with our preferred book printers.

 

Charges vary but are normally £400-£600 for x2 hard copy books (based on 15,000 words).​
